This is my favorite sugar cookie recipe.
3 cups sugar
2 cups shortening
cream together,then
add:
4 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
8 cups flour
8 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 cup milk
mix together to make into dough.
Roll out and cut into shapes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes
Make what ever frosting you like. I make mine with shortening instead of butter.
